Český Krumlov and the Castle Garden with water lilies
The largest part of the castle grounds in Český Krumlov, in terms of area, is the local Baroque garden situated on a hill and on the slope above the castle. It was founded in the 17th century. The castle garden is oriented in the northeast-southwest direction on a plot in the shape of an elongated rectangle with dimensions of approximately 150 x 750 meters. The total area of the garden is 10,875 hectares and the whole is surrounded by a wall.
