The baroque castle Červený Hrádek forms a distinctive landmark of the city of Jirkov. The original medieval Borek castle from the end of the 16th century was rebuilt into a baroque castle in 1669-75. It was last modified in 1895. In 1938, it was the site of Lord Runciman's meeting with K. Henlain, which was a forerunner of the Munich Agreement.
