A beech tree under Šternberk Castle

This memorial tree grows on the closed plot of the former Moravia enterprise under the castle in Šternberk. This forest beech was declared a memorial tree on 7/7/2005 by decision of the Šternberk Municipal Office. The reason for the announcement was its significant age and height, it is an important landscape landmark with a high aesthetic value. The protective zone of this memorial tree extends to a distance of 13 m from the trunk.
