Brno - the monument to Marshal Malinovský
It is located next to the Brno House of Arts on Malinovského náměstí in the historic center of the city. It reminds us of April 1945, when the Second World War ended in Brno. The bust of the Soviet military leader comes from the workshop of the Brno sculptor Vincenzo Makovský, who created it in 1950. Here he immortalized the marshal's civilian face rather than his military austerity.
