Brno - Centrum department store

The dominant building is located at the intersection of Jánské and Kobližné streets leading to Malinovské náměstí in the historic center of Brno. It was built in 1930-31 by the company Baťa from Zlín based on the winning project of Vladimír Karfík. According to the original plan, it was supposed to have 22 floors and would thus be the first skyscraper in Brno.
