Brno-Obřany - monument to Adolf Essler

 Around 1900, the Essler family came to Obřany, then a suburb of Brno, and bought the local spinning mill. In 1915, Adolf Essler (1885-1957) took over the factory from his father and expanded the production to include other buildings. In 1922, a four-story building of a new factory was built here on an island between the Svitava River and the drive. It also included a small power plant that provided electricity for the textile...
