Brandlín Castle was originally a separate slate farm with a fortress, when the oldest known owner was Ješek from Brandlín, who died in 1362 and left no male heir. Other important owners were the Olbrams of Brandlín from Štěkř, who rebuilt the fortress into a Renaissance one at the beginning of the 16th century.
