It is generally known that the North Moravian Bludov is connected with the important Moravian family Žerotín (or Zierotín) almost from the beginning of its existence. After all, the castle from the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries (but not much of it remains) was supposed to be founded by the semi-hypothetical Blud (from Bludov), from whom the Žerotín family derives its origin.
