Baroque sculptures in Bučovice

In front of the Bučovice parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands a pair of baroque sculptures of well-known Czech Saints, coincidentally both related to the question of the secret of confession, but the authorship is still apparently unknown.
It is perhaps St. Jan Nepomucký (between 1340 and 1350-1393), former Vicar General of the Archbishop of Prague and perhaps the most famous Czech martyr and patron. The statue is…
