Hukvaldy Castle stands approximately 14 km from Frýdek-Místek and 9 km from Příbor.
The most famous native of Hukvald was the composer Leoš Janáček.
We came here by car. The parking lot is located by the road below the castle, near Hukvaldské dvor.
Next, we walked up the steep hill to the castle itself. One of the smaller Moravian castles was probably founded by Franco Huckenswagen in 1285. The castle got its name...
