ZOO Ostrava

The grounds of the Ostrava zoo are located between the city districts of Ostrava, namely Slezka Ostrava and Michálkovice. In 1956, the construction of the zoo began, and the roads and the bear den were the first to be built. The first visitors viewed the still-under-construction garden in 1960.
