Znojmo - the house of St. Klement Maria Hofbauer
It is a rather inconspicuous Renaissance townhouse on Wenceslas Square, which served as a bakery in the 18th century. Here, the later very well-known clergyman Klement Maria Hofbauer (1751-1820), a native of Tasovice near Znojmo, learned his trade. He was blessed in 1888 for his missionary work among the poor and the management of pilgrimage sites, and in 1909 Pope Pius X highlighted Hofbauer's legacy...
