The village of Zlonice is located 8 km north of Slané in the valley of the Zlonický stream. Zlonicko was already inhabited in prehistoric times. The first mention of the village dates from the 9th century, in Hájk's Chronicle. In 1705, Zlonice was elevated to a small town. However, the year 1721 is of great importance, when the town is acquired by the Kinští from Vchynice and Tetovo, and with them extensive baroque construction begins - especially the Church of the Ascension...
