Žižk's memorial - Poříčí nad Sázavou
In Poříčí nad Sázavou, at the intersection of Pražská Street and the railway line, there has been a granite monument since 1924 commemorating the victorious battle of Jan Žižka's troops. The battle took place in Poříčí in May 1420, and Žižka defeated the troops of the Bohemian lords who were on the side of Emperor Sigismund in the Hussite Wars.
