Žihobek Theater.

The theater began its activities in 1901. The founder of the Tyl Theater Association was the director of the school, František Procházka. In 1919, the municipality bought the castle greenhouse, which was converted into a theater building. Thus, Žihobce became one of the few municipalities with its own theater. One of the directors of the theater was the school director Karel Ortl, who was martyred in 1943. During the period of activity, the association staged 244 plays.…
