Židlochovice - National House

House no. 24 on the Židlochovice Square was purchased in 1911 by the then newly established Czech Volunteer Fire Brigade. The local fire department decided to rebuild the house in order to obtain its representative headquarters. Builder František Hodač was commissioned to rebuild the building. Part of the local Germans decided to boycott the construction of the house, so the construction site was guarded day and night by Czech volunteer firefighters.
