Zevl's pond
The pond was probably founded before 1390. Its area is roughly seven hectares and it is fed by two tributaries. The Novohradský stream flows into the pond from the east in the direction of Austria, and the Veverský stream flows in from the south. The name Zevlův rybník, locally called Zevlák for short, comes from the second half of the 2th century. Historically, the pond was called Forsteich, Forest Pond, or Forstweiger.
