A monumental three-winged, three-story building, located on the southeast side of the Franciscan monastery in the bend of the walls. The museum building was designed at the end of the nineteenth century (1897 - 1900) by the architect Josef Škorpil, then director of the Museum of Art and Industry, according to the project of engineer Eduard Kron and architect Otakar Volf.
