Castle and regional museum in Teplice spa

The regional museum in Teplice probably dates back to 1894, when the Museum Society was founded. Since then, the museum collections have not only expanded, but also moved in various ways, until they settled in the current premises in 1945, i.e. in the premises of the Teplice Castle on the Castle Square.
The beginnings of the city date back to the second half of the 12th century, when the Czech queen Judith founded a monastery "by the warm waters"...
