From Lokte to Karlovy Vary

The town of Loket is located on the railway branch No. 144 of the line No. 140 Cheb - Karlovy Vary. Already from the railway station in Lokta, a fortified town with a castle can be seen on a rock above the meander of the Ohře River. The castle was built at the beginning of the 13th century to protect the Czech borderland from the intrusion of German occupation officials. It was rebuilt several times.
