Ascent to Říp.
Every time we drive along the D8 highway to the north of Bohemia and pass the magical mountain Říp, we say to ourselves that we will definitely climb it next time. This time we were returning from a beautiful trip from Czechoslovak Switzerland and we agreed that today would be the day. We drive in the direction of Roudnice nad Labem and after a while we enter the village of Rovné. We pack the car and leave. We walk along Lipova Alley to the wooded hillside of Říp. Here we read…
