Vysoké Veselí - the remains of the fortress

The preserved part of the Vesela fortress dates from 1586, it is a stone relief plate with the coat of arms of Jan Bořek Dohalský and Barbora from Solopysk with dolphins on the sides. The plate dates from the Renaissance reconstruction of the fortress, but originally it was probably part of the entrance portal of the fortress. Today, the plaque is embedded in the enclosure wall of the castle near the statue of St. Wenceslas.
