Only ruins remain of the Zvěřince castle, located in the forests of Český Merán. Still, it's worth seeing, just for the historical reasons. Quite possibly Master Jan Hus stayed here with his friend Václav from Zvěřince, who also preached in the area. A few hundred years later, Karel Hynek Mácha visited the castle. Castle Zvěřinec.
