Trip to Blansko

In the South Moravian region, we visited the town of Blansko with many monuments. It lies in the valley of the river Svitava. It was originally established as a settlement where an important trade route from the Danube to Bohemia passed along the Svitava. In the last third of the 16th century, Blansko came into the possession of the Žalkovský family from Žalkovice. Matyáš Žalkovský raised the old town to a township, his son then had it rebuilt at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries...
