Excavations of the church of St. Nicholas

The church was built in the middle of the 13th century under Krudum mountain and disappeared 200 years later. It was founded on a site where precious stones were probably mined in the Middle Ages. However, he gradually disappeared in the thick forest of the Slavkovský forest, and his remains remain only in local legends. A few years ago, archaeologists from the Karlovy Vary museum managed to find the place where the church stood under a layer of soil several meters deep.…
