The heather well - a place of pilgrimage

The heather well can be found at an altitude of 1333 m. It lies on the main tourist route from Šerák to Červenohorské sedlo. It is said that the water from the well is healing and in the 16th century it cured the family of a local farmer from leprosy. Since then, there has been a chapel and a shelter in a ramshackle design, and the buildings have been destroyed in various ways due to weather conditions and fire.
