Vrben ponds near České Budějovice

Vrbenské rybníky is a protected bird area, a nature reserve, with a large population of breeding and migrating waterfowl. Some species are unique. In 2012, at least 2 pairs of pistil parrots nested here. Rare and protected species of mushrooms grow on the dams of the ponds. The best time to visit is the spring season.
