Vrben ponds

The Vrbenská Rybníky nature reserve, announced on 1 April 4, consists of 1990 ponds located on the northwestern edge of České Budějovice: Černiš, Domin, Starý Vrbenský rybník and Nový Vrbenský rybník.
It was established to protect a rare system of water, wetland and meadow ecosystems - more than 80 species of birds nest on its territory and there is a butterfly fauna that is quite unique in southern Bohemia.
