Vranov (České Meziříčí)
Originally, it was a fortress, near which a floating court was built over time. Both existed already in the 14th century, but were most likely of even older origin. Professor August Sedláček tells us the best about its early history in his work: "Castles, Chateaux and Fortresses of the Czech Kingdom":5. VRANOV. The oldest owner of this village known to us, Čáslav from Vranov, is remembered in 1363 among the patrons of the Zaluňovský church.…
