The 3,6-hectare pond was created by damming the Javornice stream, which is a left-bank tributary of the Berounka River and its length is 81,4 km. Vožehův rybník was built between 1813 and 1817 and is located 1 km east of Kožlany. There is a recreation facility by the pond.
