Vlašim - an industrial city

At the beginning of the 14th century, the lords of Vlašimi built a Gothic castle above the Blanica river. It was gradually rebuilt into a Castle. The last noble owners from the Auersperg family rebuilt the Castle into its present form in the 19th century. The castle in Vlašim is now the headquarters of the Podblanicka museum.
