Vlašim - Fountain on Žižka square

Since 1886, a pseudo-Gothic fountain with a statue of the Knight has stood in the middle of Žižka Square. Both are a gift from local native, architect and construction entrepreneur František Šebek. But it is not clear who the knight is supposed to represent. It is most often stated that it is the mythical Slavic hero Záboje.
