This locality was inhabited already in the Stone Age, which is proven by finds from the settlement of Chotěborek and from Vilantic itself, which were mostly lost during the 19th century. The only monument to the prehistoric settlement is a clay whorl decorated with ornaments, which was found by parish priest Wagenknecht and was presented at an archaeological exhibition in Hradec Králové in 1879.
