The Větruše excursion complex, standing above the confluence of the Elbe and Bílina, is a dominant feature of the town of Ústí nad Labem. On the site of today's premises, the first restaurant was built in 1847 by Johann Thomas Jr. On November 28, 1895, the Gebirgsverein Aussig association in Ústí purchased the building for 25000 guilders.
