Vernířovice - torment of God

The former mining settlement of Vernířovice is located in the valley of the Merty river, in the Jeseníky foothills and near the village of Sobotín, i.e. in the Šumpers region. In Vernířovice, in addition to the surrounding beautiful nature, we can also find several historical monuments, among which the interesting - and relatively unusual - brick niche of God's torment with a gable roof, on the ridge of which is mounted a cast-iron cross dated 1894.
