Velký Osek-fort
The early medieval fort is located in the Libický luh between the extinct meanders of the Elbe near Velké Osek. It was discovered at the end of the 19th century by Jan Hellich, a native of Poděbrady, pharmacist and archaeologist. Finds from the 9th-10th century were found here. century identical to those in nearby Libica n. Cidlina. The fortress was protected by a pair of ditches and a rampart delimiting an area of 2 ha.
