Velké Hoštice - church of St. John the Baptist

A very beautiful, dominant building in the village of Velké Hoštice near Opava is the baroque church of St. John the Baptist. The church was consecrated on August 7, 1774 by the then bishop of Královo Hradec Matyáš František Chorinský, brother of Ignác Dominik Chorinský, a member of an old Czech family.
