Veletyn is a small wine-growing village with 560 inhabitants, located between the towns of Uherské Hradiště and Uherský Brod and on the left bank of the river Olšava. The road connecting the two towns passes around the northern edge of the village. A vast orchard and vineyard stretches from the eastern and southern edge of the village.
