Tyl's house

Tyl's birth house was originally called "The House at the Golden Ridge" and stood in the former Čáslavská, now Tylová street. In its current form, it was built on Gothic foundations after the great fire of the city in 1823, when a large part of this city district was reduced to ashes. A medallion relief of Tyl's bust has been installed on the front facade of the house since 1862 with a description reminding that JK Tyl was born here on February 4, 1808...
