The first reports about Trutnov are from the reign of Přemysl Otakar II. In 1260, there was already a market settlement here on the way to Silesia. It was upgraded to a small town in 1340, which became the dowry town of Czech queens until 1599. During the Thirty Years' War, the town was plundered twice by the Swedes. In the 18th century, a plague broke out here. The city was also affected by several large fires. The last one was in 1861.…
