Three Drums

The settlement of Tři Bubny, from which there is a wonderful view of the Iron Mountains, is located on a hill 2 km north of the village of Orel, of which it is a part. The settlement consists of the Gothic Church of St. Jiří from the 14th century, former game house, inn and outbuildings. According to legend, during the Silesian Wars with Prussia (1740-1745), three Austrian drummers sneaked up to the Prussian army here and drove the Prussian king to flight by drumming the alarm.…
