Třešť - Former Jewish synagogue

The Empire Synagogue was built after the great fire of October 2, 1824, which destroyed the entire Jewish ghetto. Thanks to the collection and the contribution of the Jew Yitzchak Wiesenwald, it was rebuilt and consecrated on September 22, 1825. It faces the street in the ground-floor columned vestibule. Today it is the temple of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. Until November 30, 2003, it was used as a permanent exhibition hall of the Association of Friends of Nativity Scenes in Třešť. Is here…
