Třebíč - statue of St. Cyril and Methodius

It is located in the middle of the main Charles Square. The city had been striving for the construction of this sculpture since 1867. At that time, it teamed up with the sculptor Josef Myslbek, but the project was very expensive, so it was abandoned. With the jubilee year of 1885 approaching, the city finally teamed up with the sculptor Ludvík Šimek. The local Cyril and Methodius sculpture was then created by sculptor Bernard Otto Seeling according to his design.…
