TOP 5 most interesting technical monuments of our country
In addition to a number of interesting galleries and museums, or also fortresses and medieval castles, the Czech Republic also has a lot of other gems that are definitely worth seeing! There is something interesting in every region, so let's introduce some of the so-called family technical monuments. Literally from Jindřichov Hradec to Ostrava... so where do we actually start?
Windmill Třebíč
A mill in which, although flour was never ground, it was nevertheless extremely economically useful. The local tanner was famous throughout the region and needed tree bark for his production. Windy the mill in Třebíč saw the light of day in 1836, a hundred years later it became an accommodation area. This is how the building was used until the second half of the seventies of the last century.
Šenovka Museum Railway
The route from Česká Kamenice to Kamenické Šenov near Děčín also offers a tour of the museum railway. Five kilometers through the historic local is a real experience, trains always run on weekends or holidays from March XNUMXth to October XNUMXth. And of course, the interest here is really huge!
Michal Mine in Ostrava

It was mined here between 1850 and 1993, when all work was completed.
Kovozoo in the Old Town
Near Uherské Hradiště there is a unique zoo that does not offer a single live animal. Of course, they are all made of metal, faithful replicas of living creatures will interest not only children, but also adults. This ZOO has six years of history behind it, you can view it here at the moment over 250 different animals. Even in this way, seemingly useless metal waste can be used.
Narrow gauge railway in Jindřichov Hradec
Riding a historic locomotive is a dream of many of us, but it can easily come true, and of course in one of the largest cities in South Bohemia – Jindřichová Hradec. There are quite a few tracks here, you can go to the border New Bystrice (about 33 kilometers) or to Reverbly (here is a track leading over 46 kilometers). Forest stop or bike transport? It's no problem, the steam trains are available between May and September, the engine works all year round.
