About 1,5 km after Karlovice in Jeseníky on the road no. 451 towards Pocheň and Široká Niva in the Opava valley, opposite the branch of the forest road (left from Karlovice), we can come across a footpath leading to the river. After less than 100 m we find a massive white-barked fir. The tree can already be seen from the road, there is a wooden fence around it and an information board.
