Weaving factory at Bethlehem in Hlinsk

In the historic part of Hlinsko, in the Betlém conservation area, there is a blue house - the weaving workshop of Josef Fidler - standing among the picturesque wooden houses. After his apprenticeship in the textile industry, Josef Fidler did other work, but he devoted himself to weaving in every free moment. Later in Hlinsk, where he lived, he rented a cottage in Betléma and bought a handloom. Since 2015, he has resumed the production of traditional chenille here.…
