Yew pond
In the Moravian-Silesian region, in the region of Ostrava, there is a small pond called Tisův rybník, not far from the picturesque spa town of Klimkovice. It lies at an altitude of 250 m and was built near the Písečné rybník on the Rakovec river, which got its name from the large number of crayfish that lived in it in the past. To a lesser extent, crayfish still live here today. The pond is a haven for various types of aquatic animals…
