The chapel is located approx. 200 m north of the Information Center in Kořenov and forms a dominant feature of the entire village. It is an octagonal chapel built by local evangelicals with their own help in 1909. Until then, they gathered for their devotions at a nearby place near the Zvonice cottage. The cemetery that surrounds the chapel was founded in 1911, but was officially recognized by the imperial authorities only in 1913.
