Tábor-Renaissance water tower

 
At the northern end of Žižkova street in Tábor, at the place where the Market Square, formerly called "Velký chance", begins, there is a technical building, a Renaissance water tower decorated with arched gables and sgraffito, 32 m above the level of the Jordan, restored after a great fire in 1559, from where water was distributed through wooden pipes to the fountains of the old town. Thanks to its location, the city of Tábor had a reputation as impregnable...
