Svitavy - statue of Mother's love

This monumental sculpture was commissioned by Oswald Ottendofer, a successful local businessman and philanthropist, as a memorial to his mother Katharina. It comes from the workshop of prof. Donndorf of Stuttgart. It was located in Svitavy in 1893. Later, during the construction of the road bypass, it was moved behind today's municipal office to J. Palacha park.
